Home Depot lawn & garden tractor display

When you park in the Home Depot parking lot and walk into the store you usually walk past all the tractors on display in front of the store. (Green and yellow) At least that's how it is here in Texas. I have always wondered what the reaction would be if a nice red Wheel Horse RJ58 was parked in that line of tractors. With a small sign (Display only not for sale). I have thought about asking the store manager if he or she would be interested in something like that on some Saturday morning. Seems like it would draw attention to the stores display and be fun to see the reactions when they see an antique tractor from the 50s.Sure would make some interesting pictures.

That would be cool to see peoples reactions. If you do it take lots of pics! Maybe you could get a news crew involved...

Yeah green and yellow here to..........they have nothing I would buy even if I could afford it....you have a good idea and maybe ask..sure cant hurt....:smile2

I always look and I cant believe the prices...CRAZY..............................:smile2 :scared

I looked up the prices, $1500 to $3500+ . My RJ58 was $385.00 when new in 1958 (attachments not included) and it's still here.

Seems like my 85 416-8 was around 3 grand when I bought it new and don't remember if that was with a deck....may have been but don't remember....now matter what it beats all the new stuff they sell now days......:smile2

Talked with a dept. manager at HD and they were not interested in having my Wheel horse tractors in front of their store. If fact they moved all the garden tractors inside. I guess the plastic on the modern tractors can't take the heat on these 100 degree days in Texas. :sun
