Big Sale Is On - UPDATED 03-26-26

The Big Sale is on but not like originally planned, it is a by appointment type of thing now. Be sure to call before you come to make sure the day isn't already full with peeps scheduled to come in, and make sure what you want is still available.

Well the camera doesn't seem to think the wheels should be ivory, or they should be shiny like a new car.  It also thinks the floor should be really dirty in some pics.  Oh what I would give for a camera that doesn't think, it just takes real pics...

The first pic also has the slot hitch to the left of the wheels that was blasted + repainted to match the rest of the tractor today.

The last pic is the closest and it's in the shadows, but still too white and not even close to glossy.

This morning was nice so the front wheels got painted and the dust knocked off of the new front tires. The rear wheels will be ready for tires beginning of next week. They are dry now but not dry enough to stretch a tire over.

I have 2 different sets of lug nuts on the wheel.  I also have black just like the open hole short chrome but they don't look as good as chrome on the Ivory wheel, but they look good on silver wheels.  I stock those 3 types here.  Which one do you prefer Carson, or would you like for me to bring in something different?

I also got the new belt guard piece made that was broken on the new belt guard.  That took quite awhile.  It has to go where the old one was but not on top of the original piece.  Without cutting the old piece out the drive belt will rub on it, and just welding a small piece to the top won't be as strong as it should be.  It's a tricky thing to do but I've done plenty of them before.  The new mount is a little bit wider and taller so it will be stronger but it is made from the same 1/16" thick steel.  I used a lower mount off of an old cut up original belt guard that you can see in the 1st and 3rd pics.  Grandpas guard is the same so I used it for a pattern since it was closeby.  When finished the original spot welds will still show on the top side and only we will know it has been repaired.

The last pic is where everything stands now.  The new piece will get blasted and welded in early tomorrow morning when it's nice and quiet around here.

Finished up the belt guard this morning.  If you're wondering why the welding clamp is on the c clamp holding the new piece on it's because I have plastic jaws on the vise to keep from making any marks on the belt guard (pic#2).  You can see the penetration marks on the top but they are smooth and won't show when painted.  The hole looks a tiny bit high as well but some of it is camera angle and some of it is the hole is a little bigger due to the iron worker punch size.

Turned out well.
